Welcome to StellaBark

This is Stella, one fabulous Bearded Collie. Stella - also known as the Stellanator, Stellaluna Babygirl, and StellDell - reached the grand age of eleven on the 4th of July. She's as young at heart as the day she arrived on the doorstep, and even though she's slowing down just a tad, she's always ready to go when the tennies go on.

Bearded Collies are wonderful dogs - playful when it's time to play, calm and quiet when it's time to come into the house. People are often surprised to learn that Stella is not an Old English Sheepdog. That may be because at first glance she looks like a sheepdog and she doesn't have the more typical pointed nose that most people think of when they hear "collie". Collie, however, means herder, and beardies are most definitely enthusiastic herders.
